 Free One-on-One Tutoring:  Basic Computer Skills

You choose the topic. For example:

  • Very basics for beginners, including how to use a mouse.
  • How to set-up and use an online email account
  • How to  navigate the internet and use a search engine (Google)
  • How to use the library catalogue and search library databases
  • How to import, organize, and edit digital photos
  • Introduction to  Microsoft Powerpoint (program used to create slideshow presentations)
  • Introduction to Microsoft Word: learn the basics of this word processing program which can be used to create a variety of professional and personal documents.
  • Introduction to Microsoft Excel: Learn the basics of this spreadsheet program, including how to setup and format spreadsheets for basic accounting and other professional or personal uses.
  • The Basics of Windows 7

Session length is approx. one hour depending on topic. Tutorials must be booked in advance.
